Revkin / Sascha Vernik painter

Sascha Vernik alias Revkin works in a variety of mediums and disciplines like graphite portrait drawing, oil painting or digital sketching and uses visual storytelling for storyboarding, graphic novels and handdrawn animation. Influenced by artists such as Kim Jung Gi, James Jean, Aryz, Alex Kanevsky, Nychos or Katsuhiro Otomo he funnels his visual vocabulary into large-scale oil paintings.

 

After graduating from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna he has worked as an animator on projects such as A Hologram For a King, Tracking Edith or Embracing Lovers.

He keeps a regular journal in his Moleskine sketchbooks, painted tigers in R&'s office and exhibited his painting series Losing It at the Rabbiteyemovement Gallery.

 

Revkin lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
